us davis folks know how
to do spring break right.
we spent a long weekend in port angeles.
why would you go to the sun
for spring break
when you can go to even crappier weather
than what you're used to?
and why would you hang out indoors
when you can go to the sol duc hot springs
up in the mountains
and lounge in steaming hot sulfur-stinking pools
with a crowd of half naked strangers?
oh, i mean lounging
in steaming hot sulfur-stinking pools
while it snowed.
in swim suits.
outside.
with an air temperature of 30 degrees.
did i mention it was snowing?
it is a resort, after all.
don't the guys look like they're having a blast?
you.are.so.welcome.gentlemen.
ok, let's face it.
we are the worst spring breakers ever.
but oddly enough, we had fun.
because it was an adventure.
and made a good story.
and was just plain weird.
i can't wait to show off my tan.
or perhaps this is frostbite.
i'd better get that checked out.

I can't decide if the boys look like they are thinking, "Okay, this is SUPPOSED to be fun, so let's look like we're really intense so they think we're really soaking it in - oh, hey, see what I did there?" Or if they are thinking, "Well, here's another story for my journal. Man, some day my memoirs are going to sell like hotcakes," Or if they are thinking, "Great vacay choice, Mom and Dad. Remind me to let you pick my prom date too." ;)
