THE CASE OF THE MYSTERIOUS HAPPY PACKAGE!
yesterday, i received a surprise package in the mail from amazon. i am so excited! i love it! eek! but...i don't know who it's from! anyone? anyone?

HAPPY ROOM, MEET FALL...
and yet again we revisit the happy room. here she is in the summer at her conception...
and again as she celebrates all hallow's eve.
and here she is giving fall a go.
the boys are the masterminds behind the mantle pumpkins. i'm not sure which they enjoy more, holiday decor itself or the ritual and tradition of decorating for the holidays. most likely both.
i am having some serious fun with thrift store books. i reintroduced the yellow and green ones and added some orange and brown i've been collecting recently.
i'm still having some balance issues on the main wall, but i'm working on it. all i know is, i'm having fun and i tweak something every day (already see a few tweakable items on these photos!). who knew you could have so much fun with a small cupboard of thrifted stuff to move around?

GETTING MY CRAFTY ON...
handcut felt leaves and a simple straight stitch on my cute little baby janome. i cannot sew except a straight line that doesn't have to be straight so these felt garlands are the perfect project for me!
but i just can't decide which orientation i prefer, horizontal or vertical stitching, so i made one of each!
