We were returning from a weekend beachfront stay with a view of Mt. Baker.
Boon says to Hudson:
"Hudson, you're Mount Baker."
Hudson replies:
"Yeah."
Random boys.
Working up the desire to potty train Hudson.
He asks to see his poop every time he soils his diaper. No thanks.
Random boy.
Our tomatoes are slowly but surely ripening.
Boon says,
"Our yard is just like a farm. It's just like a farm except it
doesn't have any scarecrows."
Random boy.
I love the random everyday.

Happy K Day!
I took my first born son to Kindergarten today. Wow. What a huge life change this will be, just one of many.
Here's how he handled it:
As we left the house, "I'm going to Kindergarten today! Yay!"
and
"Isn't it beautiful outside today?"
and later, in the classroom,
"Mom, can you get all the way out of the room? ALL the way, Mom?"
Here's how I handled it:
Sucked up the tears when I was near him, lost it in the morning before we started getting ready, took a million pictures, and got choked up as he entered the classroom.
Wow. A big life change. Such conflicting feelings I have. So happy and excited for him, and so not so sure about me. But, thank goodness my brain can tell my heart that this really is a good thing.
