PARTY FOR CHOPPY

my younger brother and sister in law are expecting their first baby next month.
we call him "choppy."
why?
when boon was maybe 2, he decided that would be a good name for jessica's baby (when she had one).
so, since his name is a secret,
baby choppy it is!

my mom, sister and i threw a shower for the expecting couple
(and little peanut choppy, of course).
i was in charge of invitations and decorations,
lissa focused on food and games,
and mom worked on food and preparing the house.

i love love love planning a themey party,
and this one was like no other i've done so far.
i tried to stay away from making it too babyish,
too boyish, too showerish, i guess.
i chose yellow, white and grey as the color scheme
with little elephants throughout.
this was really fun.
i tried to be as economical as i could but still
get what i wanted.
i had a certain look in mind and i think it worked!
woo hoo!
oh, and i got to use my new cupcake carrier from costco.
awesome!
not to mention two scalloped white cake plates that came from
the big warehouse, as well. sometimes they have the coolest
things for so cheap!
i hope everyone had a good time, and most importantly,
i hope jamie and jessica were happy with their little party. :)
